Peter E. Fenton December News and Season’s Greetings

*****

Wishing one and all a very happy holidays. As I round out the year, I want to wish each and every one of you all the very best as you navigate the festive season. I am working hard on the fourth book of The Declan Hunt Mysteries series. I have a name for the book, a tag line, a synopsis, and yes … a rough manuscript. This book will reintroduce characters from the previous three books and offer a mystery that will keep you turning the pages late into the night. I can’t quite reveal the name yet, but rest assured that you will be the very first to know. The polished manuscript will be turned in to the publisher February 1st and will be released in the summer of 2026.

I was thrilled to see that The Burnt was nominated for a Goodreads M/M Romance Members’ Choice Award for Best Mystery/Whodunnit. If you are a member of the group, you can vote for the book by clicking here and going to poll #26. I wish all of the nominees the best of luck.

The publisher has been working hard at overcoming some distribution challenges, but the audio book of Mann Hunt is now available in limited measure. You can find the book on Google Play by clicking here and at Apple Books by clicking here.

I will keep you posted as other retailers release the audio book.

As promised, in this month’s newsletter, it is time to announce the name that was chosen from all subscribers who put their name in the hat to have a character in the next book named after them. I am delighted to say that avid reader Mary Young was selected. Watch for her character in this summer’s Declan Hunt mystery. And thanks to all of you who entered. There will be other chances for free exclusive content and giveaways in 2026 so stay tuned.

Mann Hunt has been selected for a Kobo UK Boxing Day promotion running from December 26th to January 4th, at a promotional price of £2.99. The discount will be set across all retailers during these dates and will also drop the US dollar and Euro pricing too. So if you have friends in the UK who read on KOBO, now is their chance to get the book at a great discount and start reading the series in time to be all caught up for when the fourth book comes out.

I won’t be attending as many events this year, but there are still lots of upcoming projects to get excited about in 2026. Aside from releasing the fourth book in The Declan Hunt Mysteries series, I also have a new story that will be part of a charity anthology which will come out in 2026. Look for more translations of the mystery books into German, Spanish and Italian, and possibly even more audio books. I promise to keep you posted.

For those who are curious about my recent trip around the world, you can read all about it at my partner’s blog at www.fentonandwhite.ca This will give you a more personal look at our travels as we made our way to RARE in Melbourne and back.

In the meantime, thanks again for your support and for reading my work. I wish each and every one of you a happy holiday season.

Warmest Regards,

Peter E. Fenton
