Welcome to spring and all of the latest news on my writing. There are exciting things ahead, so let’s dive right in and talk about something you might have noticed above.
The Attercop, the fourth and final novel of The Declan Hunt Mysteries series is coming out on August 4th. In preparation for a collection that will include all four books, the publisher has rebranded the second book, Hoodoo House, with a new cover that puts Declan front and centre.
What does this mean to you? Well, if you are a collector, it means that the paperback copies with the original cover on them will be discontinued, and will become collector’s items. So if your copy of Hoodoo House looks like the one below with Charlie on the front … hold on to it. That cover won’t be released anymore.

As for the new book, the cover reveal will be officially happening next month, but in the meantime, here is a hint of what you are going to see. Once again, it will have Declan Hunt in the foreground with a background that gives clues to the mystery found within the pages of the novel.

Entwined Publishing has been busy working on finalizing the editing on the book, and we are working together to set up the official pre-order dates, and the various blog tours and other events that will let the world know all about The Attercop.
But before the new book comes out, I’m involved in a little bit of Pride Month fun.

On June 3rd, I will be alongside five other amazing authors at the Queer Noir event at The Churchmouse Pub in Toronto. Come join in on the fun as each writer shares a short excerpt from their novels that have a touch of noir. I’ll be reading from Mann Hunt, and the event is a great way to launch Pride Month (and a great way to get to know other Toronto writers).

I will also be taking part in Nevada’s Henderson Writers Group session called Dime Grinds on Sunday September 6th. Readers can attend for free online via zoom as I talk about my writing. Join me if you wish. You can find out more about the event and the group by clicking here.

To celebrate the new cover for Hoodoo House, I’m giving away a free e-pub copy of the book to the first three people who comment that they want one. This is the second book in the series, but can work as a stand-alone.
